Vile Mangy Lurgy-itis (VML) has struck me down. It really should be a medical term, symptoms include feeling bleurgh and the 'thinking' part of your brain shutting down. Which is quite unfair really as thinking is actually very important. As a result this is what has been going on in my head.
NOTHING
It's like white noise in there.
Bourbon? on a school night? after a jog? VML symptoms?
*worst. decision. ever*
The Fake Hair Fear
This is what happens when I deal with a very snotty, condescending and patronising Supervisor when getting a travel insurance quote for my Mama's holiday.
It is Game On and I will take you down.
I have instructed my children to inform me of any facial/chin/neck hair situations I may miss.
Mr F nails the outdoor 'let's get rid of VML' look
I nailed 'Grim'
See you soon and thank you for all of your lovely comments on my last post

Hello Sandra,
ReplyDeleteOh dear, oh dear, we are so sorry that you are not well.
You always do such a good job of cheering us up so we do want to help you in your hour of need. Just send details of the Supervisor from Hell. We shall deal with her. The next thing you know, she will be looking for her own insurance cover!
We do love your bobble hat and the cheery stripy gloves but, darling Sandra, we do have to say that you look a little pale. Now, enough of the salt laden wind in the hair.....too much fresh air we have always thought is overrated. You need to take to your warm bed, be waited on hand and foot, be fed chocolates at regular intervals, be made endless cups of life enhancing tea and plan your holiday. A second honeymoon should do the trick!
Oh darling, hope you feel much better very soon! I think Jane and Lance have made some very sensible suggestions; Mr F, take note! xxxx
ReplyDeleteDear lovely Sandra, take a goooooood care of yourself and get well soon! I miss your cheerful presence. Lots of hugs xxxxx
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon x
ReplyDeleteSometimes we just hit a wall and need some time to veg out, I've been dragging a bit myself, not really feeling too excited about anything. Here's hoping it doesn't last long! xoxo
ReplyDeleteGet yourself to bed and get Vick to rub summat on your chest...oh...hang on...no! Rub some Vicks on yer chest. Feck.
ReplyDeletePoor baby, take good care of yourself. You do know that VML is far far worse than any ManFlu that has ever been had!! Hope that mama holiday is in NZ!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my. I do hope you feel better soon. You are so funny. I'm with you. I've often told my family that if I fall into a coma would they PLEASE keep me tweezed!
ReplyDeletePoor darling. The true cure is not bourbon, it's tequila shots. Lime and salt will clear up congestion and settle your tummy, and the tequila will make you smile and feel all warm inside. Then when you feel better you can go run after your hair.
ReplyDeleteAww, bless you! I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteSending you lots of get well (((hugs))).
Have a relaxing weekend! xx
So sorry to hear of VML, but having a head full of nothing sounds like a dream...for a moment. I'm sure it's not as cool as it sounds!
ReplyDeleteYou know what, it's time to let it all go and relax. Let others do the cheering up for a change.
Big hugs from slightly chilly Australia.xo Jazzy Jack
Feel better soon! ♥
ReplyDeleteTake care petal. This flu doing the rounds is a proper bitch. I've just fecked it off...sort of...and had to sleep, stay warm and cuddle the Night Nurse. xxx
ReplyDeleteOh dear … VML is a very dire situation … I do hope the brain function returns post-haste.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
xx
Oh dear, that is a very critical condition you are in! VML is difficult for anyone but I know you will beat it. You have to much fabulousness in your blood not to. Sending you Kahlua spiked hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. It is a known remedy for VML. xoxoxo
ReplyDeletei hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeletetoday i was back to work after ten days at home being nailed to the bed with the meanest virus i ever had ... sadly my head wasn't empty. it was filled with strange and scaring thoughts (fever thoughts/dreams) for days.
get well soon!
I missed this one and now your new post shows you looking sassy again, although it looks like you did some awesome sassing with the travel agent... At least you find humour in a rather humourless situation and in selfless manner have at least managed to make us laugh. So in retrospect, sorry you had some big blahs. I know what white noise sounds like. Yup.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm suffering from the same disease. Now I feel much better, I'm not alone!
