Camping about on New Years Eve

Its New Years Eve!!
Hurrah!
I hope you have an extraordinarily tremendous one
and your 2014 is beyond brilliant and involves excellent stuff

Whether taking your raffia pets out for a frolic in a boa

(Fighting with the raffia pets over who is going to be wearing the boa
It's mine!!)

Casually reclining in lounge wear
I am inspired by Liberace
he covered a chaise longue like velvet
however I lack his magnificent wardrobe and formal furnishings

Looking forward

Sometimes looking behind

My 'Wrecking Ball' interpretation proved to be a little ahem, inappropriate
I have spared you and given you this
Senior festive dancing
with a pouffe

I hope I can always hold on
 to something preferably very shiny

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

HAVE A FLAMING GOOD ONE!

A Tiara and a cup of tea in the afternoon

Almost back to normal.  If you don't mind I'm just going to gloss over the Big C. (Christmas)

Hanging out with Nigella,  and I still will, I never liked that Saatchi man.

Cookie really is a kitty supermodel, I know I say it a lot
but she's fabulous

The brutal winds are affecting Whiskers a little

Little Miss-Ette creating awesome things

Eldest coveting awesome things

I have lost Missy to technology, she is in her pit although I have seen her today, albeit briefly
As it is now the afternoon
One must dress properly

Have a Queenly frolic

Discover the sequin bolero doesn't fit
but if it's sequins Darling
just whip it round the neck

And get in the light
extra sparkle Darling
we want MORE

Of course I am going to share my Regal Episode with the Fabulous Anne

52 pick me up
'GET SHINY'

edit: Little Miss-ette has told me that I can't pretend the tiara belongs to me, it is hers.
edit: The bolero belongs to the Eldest.
edit: Fabulous from my Mum (and is currently being addressed as Tilly Twinkles)

I hope you have all survived
and Liver's are only mildly twitching

Paloma Faith

'Just Be'

I'll see you all on New Years Eve

Christmas with Peaches

Peaches jumped out of bed, eager to clean the house.  It's Christmas Eve! how exciting.  Peaches told the children that Santa won't come to an untidy house quite a few years ago.  Since then it's been a tradition Peaches looks forward too.  Peaches LOVES to clean.

You must clean your baubles

and of, course your hems

don't forget your pussy
but how do you keep a happy face while cleaning?
How do you do it Peaches!!

No!
Stop!
It's just a little bit of Christmas Spirit

Well, it is called Mothers little helper

I WISH YOU
A
*****MERRY CHRISTMAS****
HOWEVER YOU SPEND IT
AND WHOMEVER YOU ARE WITH
I WISH YOU A GOOD ONE
BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW
IT'S ABOUT THE LOVE THAT YOU GIVE

AND I'M SENDING BUCKETS FULL

What a difference Blogs make

Its my 50th post! my goodness, that went quick!
I want to thank you all for your support, kindness and overall awesome-ness during my blogging life, it has simply meant the world to me.

You see, when I hit 40 (4 years ago) I gave in.  I honestly thought it was time for me to grow up and start dressing properly, I don't know why.  I wore jeggings and 'flattering' clothing, (nothing against any of these garments btw, they just weren't 'me') I didn't realise I was trying to appear smaller and less noticeable.  When my hair went thinner I cut it much shorter. No pride or interest, I really thought it was the right thing to do. However, I was utterly, utterly miserable.

BUT!

I found blogs, wonderful, brilliant fantastic and amazing blogs of  awesome women, I was mesmerised and transfixed, more importantly I felt I found my people!

At first I admit I stalked you all! I was far too shy to comment, but you were my lifeline at first.
Then I thought about commenting.
Then I signed upto Google and inherited the name 'Maria' (which I didn't know how to change)
and I started to comment, I felt like every comment I made at first made me sound like an idiot.  But I was gaining confidence and kept going (my comments to you still probably make me sound like an idiot!! ha! I'm very excitable you know!)

I have learned the joys of dressing how I like, I have gone from 1 brooch to multiple.  Wearing what the hell I like and gaining confidence has been the biggest gift this year.

And I owe it all to you! because it started with you.  So, I thank you!

My very thin and baldy patches are now covered excellently
3 plaits
hell yeah!

Fake hair bliss

3 brooches of Happy

where are my flaming brooches here!

Random twirling, because I'm worth it

Eldest and I shopping
in dreadful weather

oh you know a song is coming

It's Prince 1999

Prince may not work gah!
but here's Lady Gaga 'Born this Way'

I'll see you all on Tuesday
I have a few things to sort out
It's nearly there!

REGARDING COMMENT RESPONSES
********I have written a single response to your  beautiful comments, not because I'm a lazy fecker but because I felt it was the sincerest way I could convey the way I felt about them, I hope you don't mind *****

Tuesday 17 December 2013

Do you like sprouts?

I rather like them, mushy, tender or roasted, they do have an alarming reaction from others though
My younger 2 find them hideous

To create balance, if you have been disturbed
I give you
Leopard print booties

Christmas Shopping has done this to me
It's a visual representation
a black halo of gloom surrounded by shiny decorations
Christmas shopping seems to eliminate any festive mood I have
Bah Humbug indeed

I did buy wine and chocolates, to soothe my cantankerous mood

half  of the decoration has fell down, I REALLY like it, like a festive pole
perfect for saucy Christmas dancing
if I have to, I will, very carefully
it's nearly the 12 month anniversary of the 'slut drop' I learned last Christmas
my knees were in tatters

cat bitch face
'I think you find, this is MY tree'

'I like shiny'

I rather like my 2 for £3.75 chazza man's jumper and ladies cardigan
my faux-ho-ho collar (previous post) was £3.50
and yes, it was cold

Saturday, we went to a promising Christmas Fair

Apparently it was here
.........somewhere

it was ok, kids enjoyed it, I think we were there for 30 minutes
so we went to our park
Historical train stuff
The first public Railway was from here
(edit; Mr F informs me it ran through here from Liverpool to Manchester, yawn)
Mr F informs me 'yawn' is unfair, he's right

The old grounds to the house

They are so polite, of course one must dance in the Ballroom

never too big for a see-saw
NEVER!

**************************************
I haven't bought any cards
I haven't finished the shopping
I haven't done a proper clean up
I haven't bought the girls Christmas clothes (Mum & Dad kindly fund this, hurrah parents!!)
I can't find a new fake plait, I'm going for a Frida Kahlo of plaits
I may be in for more training next week
I don't know what has happened to the 'followers' pictures.....where have they gone?

*sigh* it's all quite normal for this time of year really
I have 7 days left
positively ages

********************************************

I hope you are having a more productive week
stay AWESOME

MPSG and 2 dresses in 4 occasions

My Personal Shopping Guide, I had a plan, these things don't happen often, so I went with it;

These were my goals
1. Big skirt with petticoat - to create size and increase personal space
2. Red - it's a passionate/aggressive colour, apparently, and also very nice
3. Brooches - because they are pretty
4. Flat shoes - I am dangerous in heels
5. Husband - useful for driving and helping
6. Red lipstick - no reason needed

My arms?
Ready for Battle

Practical examination - it worked, I was bumped into once, as I was protected by excess fabric and a petticoat the offender was lucky not to bounce of me and into the nearest window

I haven't shown Mr F who carried most of the bags
Shopping is exhausting

then Work, actually I wore this to work and the evening before for my nephews birthday party
I won't wash clothes every time I wear them, no need to

Sudley House
As Mr F is off work we had a sneaky morning out and about
Great place and free

I am challenging myself to take more pics outside
I didn't realise how awkward I would feel
but no time for nonsense
I have challenged myself

trying to relax on an awesome stairwell

just magnificent

the pic before this was delightful
I was adjusting myself in a vigorous manner

Hazelnut coffee and a scone
*faint*
too too good

I am linking in to the Christmas share in style with lovely Sacramento
I know it's a literal interpretation
but I have access to Santa! Ho Ho Ho!

I hope you all have a majestic weekend
let there be love and cake
AND
 ANDY WILLIAMS
'TO DREAM THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM'
I flaming love this song

SEE YOU SOON
