Cast ne'er a clout till May is out

I never ever listen to this wise saying, I see sunshine and get giddy.  Every time, every year.

Actual Sunshine (yesterday)

Today's frost

PicMonkey is awsome
I really wanted to have a go of the airbrush stuff (for shits and giggles)
but it was an upgrade and required effort

Penny Lane

Mr F wanted me to go on this wheel
not a hope

the face in the Echo arena creeps me out

We have used the toilets here
it's so expensive we could go to Paris instead
*slight exaggeration *

Victoria Sponge at 10.30am

Bathroom selfie
in my youngest daughters school socks

The Albert Dock

On the BBC news yesterday morning they announced The Everyman Theatre has now been re-done

Which reminded me I have tread those boards twice
I wouldn't say 'performed'
I just stood there, facing the right way saying words at the right time
but
we were allowed to pick our own outfit from the costume department
I picked a 17th Century corset dress
my own boobs upstaged me

I loved it though
and made me ponder whether to do Amateur Dramatics
I would be an excellent tree
of course I would want to wear a velveteen fringed kimono and turban

I'm training again
I work in an out-source Call centre
which means we have 100's of clients
and a lot of interesting phone calls

  1. You have so many wonderful sights in Liverpool, you've started me off singing Penny Lane now too.

I've just finished my post for tomorrow and that includes a couple of blue sky pics.
I'm just so amazed to see it. It was a bit nippy this morning though!.

You rock those socks and polka dots by the way.

Have a lovely day beautiful lady xx

  2. You do realise that I now have "Penny Lane" going around and around in my head … and I'm unlikely to get even a wink of sleep tonight because of it ;0)
I wouldn't have gone on the ferris wheel either. When we were in Disneyland I freaked out so badly on the ferris wheel they had to stop the ride and let me off … all the toddlers sat and watched while I did the walk of shame.

  3. Hello Sandra,

Well, even if the sun isn't shining, you must make Liverpool a jollier place to be when you are out and about. Your clothes today reminded us of the 1950s and we quite expected Olivia Neutron Bomb and John Revolta to come out of the background and join you in a rendition of Grease Lightning. Fabby!

We are sure that you would be a star of the Am Dram circuit and definitely think that you should give it a go. Whatever, even if you only have a walk on walk off part, you will get to rummage through the dressing up box!!

Your cheery post has brought sunshine into our lives today and we wish you the sunniest of Tuesdays!

    1. Thank you Jane and Lance, I love Olivia Neutron Bomb and John Revolting, like Anna I think they would be brilliant Roller derby names! the rummaging in a dress up box would be an absolute joy! I hope you both have a wonderful weekend x x x

  4. I have never been to Liverpool, but it's always been on my list, and it's looking gorgeous here in the sunshine (mind you everything looks gorgeous in spring sunshine!)

Is that play actually about house music, or just about house parties? I've been waiting for all the nostalgic period dramas and whatnot about the 90s to start showing up on the radar...

And I've just seen the comment above mine -- if Olivia Neutron Bomb isn't a rollerderby name yet, it should be, it's brilliant.

    2. Hi Anna, I did, I hope you got my reply! and yes the sunshine, like snow makes everything beautiful, definitely! I can't even remember what the play was about! which is dreadful, I remember the outfit and nothing more! I hope you have an amazing weekend x x x

  5. Hello Sandra!

Tks for showing us a bit of Liverpool!
Lucky you all that sunshine - we will have to wait about another month for some kind of warmth!
    Looking lovely as usual -
Love the Beatles story event or exhibition? i have seen in Las Vegas the Cirque du Soleil show Love - What a great show it was!

  6. Liverpool is looking quite lovely. I remember Bill Bryson said he arrived in Liverpool years ago during the Festival of Litter, but I do hope it's changed since then!

Love your PIcmonkey photo, the way it highlights your lashes and lips - gorgeous!

    1. Thanks Val, I think when Bryson came in the 90's, Liverpool was on the brink of many improvements and regeneration, we had a tough patch in the 80's, but it has changed a lot and for the better - Picmonkey is brilliant, excessive contrast and others seem to be my friend! have a lovely weekend x x x

  9. Upstaged by your own boobs? Brilliant! I am so looking forward to our family trip to Liverpool next month, we'll be spoilt for choice of things to see. Albert Dock and the Beatles museum are on our list (is the latter really pricey then?) Good to see you and Mr F enjoying the sunshine and looking gorgeous.
PicMonkey; it's great, if you do lots of photo editing (or want to) it's worth the fiver a month to upgrade, it's fun to use. Or you could try it for a bit and see how you get on (they offer free trials sometimes). I'm addicted - can you tell?! xxx

  13. I've only ever been to Liverpool once (to a concert at the echo arena), which is crazy since most of my Dad's family are from there! It looked like a really nice city in the eighteen hours I spent there with the bestie. Lol. I love your outfits; you always look amazing. I've never used Picmonkey, but would recommend Photoscape and GIMP which are free to download and use. GIMP's a bit technical for me (it's like Photoshop), but Photoscape is easy to use. xx

    1. Oh my goodness! where does your Dad come from? we could be related haha! I'm glad you liked it even if it was only for 18 hours, who did you see? thanks for the recommendations too, it's a whole new wonderful world of technology! have a lovely weekend Louise x x x

You surprised me about your hair - I'd never ever guess! Your hair always looks fantastic, and so do your eyebrows. Very interesting tour of your town, as usual. :)
