Actual Sunshine (yesterday)
Today's frost
PicMonkey is awsome
I really wanted to have a go of the airbrush stuff (for shits and giggles)
but it was an upgrade and required effort
Penny Lane
Mr F wanted me to go on this wheel
not a hope
the face in the Echo arena creeps me out
We have used the toilets here
it's so expensive we could go to Paris instead
*slight exaggeration *
Victoria Sponge at 10.30am
Bathroom selfie
in my youngest daughters school socks
The Albert Dock
On the BBC news yesterday morning they announced The Everyman Theatre has now been re-done
Which reminded me I have tread those boards twice
I wouldn't say 'performed'
I just stood there, facing the right way saying words at the right time
but
we were allowed to pick our own outfit from the costume department
I picked a 17th Century corset dress
my own boobs upstaged me
I loved it though
and made me ponder whether to do Amateur Dramatics
I would be an excellent tree
of course I would want to wear a velveteen fringed kimono and turban
I'm training again
I work in an out-source Call centre
which means we have 100's of clients
and a lot of interesting phone calls
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I hope you are all having a wonderful start to the week
and thank you for your wonderful comments on my last post
YOU ROCK MY WORLD
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
You have so many wonderful sights in Liverpool, you've started me off singing Penny Lane now too.
ReplyDeleteI've just finished my post for tomorrow and that includes a couple of blue sky pics.
I'm just so amazed to see it. It was a bit nippy this morning though!.
You rock those socks and polka dots by the way.
Have a lovely day beautiful lady xx
Oh, and cake at 10.30 - perfect :)
DeleteThank you and it was lovely sunshine we had, it's been freezing since then! the cake was lovely and I hope you have a wonderful weekend lovely Yvonne x x x
DeleteYou do realise that I now have "Penny Lane" going around and around in my head … and I'm unlikely to get even a wink of sleep tonight because of it ;0)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have gone on the ferris wheel either. When we were in Disneyland I freaked out so badly on the ferris wheel they had to stop the ride and let me off … all the toddlers sat and watched while I did the walk of shame.
xx
Oh no! I gave you an ear worm! hehe! I'm with you on the walk of shame too, toddlers are not very forgiving are they! have a great weekend Jo x x x
DeleteHello Sandra,
ReplyDeleteWell, even if the sun isn't shining, you must make Liverpool a jollier place to be when you are out and about. Your clothes today reminded us of the 1950s and we quite expected Olivia Neutron Bomb and John Revolta to come out of the background and join you in a rendition of Grease Lightning. Fabby!
We are sure that you would be a star of the Am Dram circuit and definitely think that you should give it a go. Whatever, even if you only have a walk on walk off part, you will get to rummage through the dressing up box!!
Your cheery post has brought sunshine into our lives today and we wish you the sunniest of Tuesdays!
Thank you Jane and Lance, I love Olivia Neutron Bomb and John Revolting, like Anna I think they would be brilliant Roller derby names! the rummaging in a dress up box would be an absolute joy! I hope you both have a wonderful weekend x x x
DeleteI have never been to Liverpool, but it's always been on my list, and it's looking gorgeous here in the sunshine (mind you everything looks gorgeous in spring sunshine!)
ReplyDeleteIs that play actually about house music, or just about house parties? I've been waiting for all the nostalgic period dramas and whatnot about the 90s to start showing up on the radar...
And I've just seen the comment above mine -- if Olivia Neutron Bomb isn't a rollerderby name yet, it should be, it's brilliant.
ps. I hope you got your email, my mail app was playing up and being weird when I sent it! Grr.
DeleteHi Anna, I did, I hope you got my reply! and yes the sunshine, like snow makes everything beautiful, definitely! I can't even remember what the play was about! which is dreadful, I remember the outfit and nothing more! I hope you have an amazing weekend x x x
DeleteHello Sandra!
ReplyDeleteTks for showing us a bit of Liverpool!
Lucky you all that sunshine - we will have to wait about another month for some kind of warmth!
Looking lovely as usual -
Love the Beatles story event or exhibition? i have seen in Las Vegas the Cirque du Soleil show Love - What a great show it was!
Take care
Arianexo
Thanks Ariane, yeah I think I would much rather go to Vegas to see it! it would be brilliant! I hope your lovely weather get's to you pronto and have a fabulous weekend x x x
DeleteLiverpool is looking quite lovely. I remember Bill Bryson said he arrived in Liverpool years ago during the Festival of Litter, but I do hope it's changed since then!
ReplyDeleteLove your PIcmonkey photo, the way it highlights your lashes and lips - gorgeous!
Thanks Val, I think when Bryson came in the 90's, Liverpool was on the brink of many improvements and regeneration, we had a tough patch in the 80's, but it has changed a lot and for the better - Picmonkey is brilliant, excessive contrast and others seem to be my friend! have a lovely weekend x x x
DeleteWow, super cool.
ReplyDeleteLoving the Liverpool photos.
Thanks Patrick! I'm so glad you liked them, and I hope you have an amazing weekend x x x
DeleteLoving the pop art makeover and that gorgeous polka dot kimono top. Love the shot of Albert Dock, wasn't that where Fred the Weatherman used to leap about? xxx
ReplyDeleteIt was! oh Fred, what a shocker though! thanks Vix and have a bostin (is that right? I hope so!) weekend! x x x
DeleteUpstaged by your own boobs? Brilliant! I am so looking forward to our family trip to Liverpool next month, we'll be spoilt for choice of things to see. Albert Dock and the Beatles museum are on our list (is the latter really pricey then?) Good to see you and Mr F enjoying the sunshine and looking gorgeous.
ReplyDeletePicMonkey; it's great, if you do lots of photo editing (or want to) it's worth the fiver a month to upgrade, it's fun to use. Or you could try it for a bit and see how you get on (they offer free trials sometimes). I'm addicted - can you tell?! xxx
I'd have a look to see if they are any online vouchers and check for discounts for when you come (4 people is £30+) I do like to get discount where I can! I do hope you have a great time when you come! if you need anything let me know - and I'd have never known you are addicted to Picmonkey, ahem, hehe! have an awesome weekend Curtise x x x
DeleteThanks for showing us some of the sights of Liverpool. Looks lovely in the sunshine. Mr NMDS is a big Beatles fan. I will take him for a visit one day. xx
ReplyDeleteAw thanks, I'm so glad you like the pics and if you come let me know if you need anything, have a fabulous weekend x x x
DeleteI have not heard that saying before...not even sure I understand it!!!
ReplyDeleteBut yay for you guys, the sun IS out!!!
I often feel upstaged by my boobs, but what CAN we do?! Bahahhaaaaaaa, you are such a cutie!
XXX
Spring isn't here till the mayflower arrives (I think!) yes, you do have awesome boobs! It can be difficult to restrain them too, mine have got a life of their own! have a brilliant weekend Helga x x x
DeleteI make your same mistake every year!

Haha! I do that too! especially with the kids wardrobe! thank you Coco! x x x
DeleteI've only ever been to Liverpool once (to a concert at the echo arena), which is crazy since most of my Dad's family are from there! It looked like a really nice city in the eighteen hours I spent there with the bestie. Lol. I love your outfits; you always look amazing. I've never used Picmonkey, but would recommend Photoscape and GIMP which are free to download and use. GIMP's a bit technical for me (it's like Photoshop), but Photoscape is easy to use. xx
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! where does your Dad come from? we could be related haha! I'm glad you liked it even if it was only for 18 hours, who did you see? thanks for the recommendations too, it's a whole new wonderful world of technology! have a lovely weekend Louise x x x
DeleteYour wise saying is hard to get for us, poor foreigners! ;) I also am not going on the wheel with you, let's not go together! :) You look beautiful! You surprised me about your hair - I'd never ever guess! Your hair always looks fantastic, and so do your eyebrows. Very interesting tour of your town, as usual. :)
ReplyDeleteYes! we will watch everyone on the wheel, and we can have a little drink (or 3!), thank you Natalia, you really are so sweet and kind and I hope you have a brilliant weekend x x x
DeleteA velveteen fringed tree is a very good kind of tree to be. Love your bathroom selfie!
ReplyDeleteThanks Connie, and hurrah! I want to be that tree! fringing on a tree is so under-rated! have an amazing weekend x x x
DeleteCool photos.
ReplyDeleteCake in the morning is the BEST!
The boob remark is hilarious.
I want a kimono. Seeing you in yours is only adding fuel to the fire.
bisous
Suzanne
Thanks Suzanne, cake is a lovely thing! you would look as fabulous as ever in a kimono, have a brilliant weekend x x x
Deletewow that seemed like an perfect day and yay for sunshine weather!!!! that wheel looks like fun! i always want to go on the giant wheel in vienna (which is "slightly" bigger;) when i´m there but nobody wants to join me :( except one time my best friend from finland was here she did me the favor but it ended up that she was lying in the middle of the floor in the cabin and trying not to freaking completely out, that was for sure an experience haha well we are laughing always a lot now when we talk about that;)
ReplyDeletelots of love and kisses,mary
Oh you are brave! I can't even imagine how scary that would be, your friend made me giggle! only because I think I would have done exactly the same!! have a gorgeous weekend x x x
DeleteHi Sandra, love all your views of the places you go too, no you will not get me on a big wheel I don't like heights .
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous in your kimono, I just loved it, with best wishes and love xxx.
Thanks Lesley, hehe, I 'm glad it's not just me with those big wheels! they are terrifying things! I'm glad you liked the pics and I hope you have a great weekend x x x
DeleteI really enjoy your photographs & that polka dot scarf....beautiful. Have fun in the sun!
ReplyDeleteThank you! the sun is always welcome, even though it may be a fleeting visit at times, have a wonderful weekend x x x
