Snazzy Butterfly

Can you have a new favourite word? mine is snazzy,  I also like facetious, 'Don't be so facetious, these are actually some seriously snazzy shoes.'

There has been a tiny bit of drama at the household, nothing serious however I have realised I am a little like Cam from Modern Family
Friday, Missy phoned to tell me she fell over, there was 'blood everywhere', like any self respecting parent I didn't believe her and told her I'd meet her at her bus-stop.  I got her home, took the alarmingly large plaster off (the lovely girls on the bus patched her up) and did Mum Face, the 'it's fine, and of course I'm not in the least bit worried' face.
We were in Alder Hey in about 20 minutes.
Her knee is skinless and being medically dressed every few days.
I did a Cam reaction a lot later in the shops.

Monday Mr F had a camera in his stomach
all is well

Cookie posed for photographs

Y'all know I'm cute

She changed her pose with each pic

I thought the bush had blown down because of the recent winds
It wasn't until the next day I thought actually/ maybe it's because our neighbour is an over-zealous pruner
and often prunes our side, stretched determined with his shears of destruction.

Vintage Apron
Nice Clothing Enabler

Finally we went to the Spice shop
Vix made a cracking curry http://vintagevixon.blogspot.co.uk/
I forgot to take the recipe, it's a very annoying habit I have
the 'Lets go Now!' shoddy approach
Nonetheless we were helped by the lovely shop owner
look at all these bay leaves for 79p!

We got a chilli plant for £3.50 in the supermarket too
it's smothered in chilli's

My post is a little all over the place, unfortunately so is my brain
Missy is having a friend over for a sleepover tonight
Clean up today
I feel like I'm running around a lot when all I want to do is chill
my internet is playing up something ruthless
grumble, grumble grumble
it's like the old dial up
you know, when the page loads one line at a time
*eye roll*
it's retro internet!

  1. Oh no!! I hope missy is okay now x

Your kitty is so cute :)

I love your new, shorter bob, I've been tempted to chop mine for years, but it look a long time to grow after so much colouring, so I know I'd probably regret it.

Loving your fancy outfits, my favourite is the back dress with purple polka dot cardi - very cute :)

Did you get around to making Vix's curry then? That Chili plant is great for £3.50, I love spicy foods!

Enjoy your day lovely Sandra xx

Thanks Yvonne! yeah, her knee is healing, she's very happy as she doesn't have to do PE next week hehe - I've cropped my hair because of the dye damage, I do like your hair (I remember your pic of you on the train!) I made a different curry, so nice but I will try Vix's! have a great weekend lovely x x x

  3. Snazzy and facetious! I like them both.

How is Missy now? I hope she's ok. I have never watched Modern Family. Looks interesting!

I have never managed to keep a plant. I have the opposite of greenfinger. I kill plants as soon as I look at them

  5. Your new bobbed 'do is very snazzy! Poor little lady with the skinned knee - I am really very level headed in emergencies, able to handle injured ill people at work ,and then god help me if something happens at home to the kids because I turn into a gibbering jelly brained mess. Usually hysterical, and always useless! Go pour yourself a stiff drink and put your feet up - you deserve it! XXX

    1. Thanks Brooke! I was the same in the early years! the Eldest knocked herself out one time when she was little, my brother and I were a mess, my Mum waltzed in sneered at us and made everything better haha! so now I can do my face, get it sorted and hit the bottle afterwards! have a wonderful weekend Brooke x x x

  6. I have under reacted a few times over the years to mishaps the lads had when small, it is all part of the job really, not to over react until totally necessary, well my mothers handbook full of empty pages would have said that!! I like the word SNAZZY, and you are one very SNAZZY BIRD!! Retro internet, how cool are you then??

    1. Thanks Sue! it seems to be Jen who always has my under-reaction! another time I picked her up from school, her foot was sore and I insisted she walked home took her boot off, her foot was massive! minor fracture! honestly the guilt! have a fab weekend x x x

  8. I love Cam … he's my favourite. The cast of Modern family is in Sydney this week … filming some shows apparently … been ALL OVER the news … obviously not too much happening down here.
I like the word amusing. "Oh … look how amusing this is" … "Haha … oh that's so amusing" … the kids just say "Mum … you're weird"

  11. Oh I am a give-it-a-rub-and-it'll-be-fine kind of mum; poor Nina is constantly injured (her fragile skin means it's a regular occurrence) and I blithely say "oh you're OK" while privately grimacing at the bloody mess she;'s made of herself... Hope Missy's knee is OK!
Your bob doesn't look wonky to me, fab frock, supermodel poses from Cookie, beautiful bun-buns (I mean bunnies, in case you thought I was referring to your arse) and hurray for cheap herbs and spices!
    Have a super-snazzy weekend! xxx

    1. Aw! I hoped you meant my arse haha!! Jen's knee is much better, bless Nina too, you have to do the 'face' don't you? they look at your reaction so much, while she was getting her knee scrubbed (honestly! it was like a gently plastic nail brush!) I had to look at the nurses forehead, have a super-snazzy weekend too Curtise! x x x

  12. Oh my. I'm like that with my husband. But he truly can be a drama queen and baby whenever he is hurt. He got his hand slammed in a door on one of his overseas trips and I told him I was sure it was just sprained. He got back about 6 days later, went to the hospital and sure enough he had broken the bone.

    How I love your bunnies.

    That apron is adorable!

  13. Glad to hear the mister's photoshoot went well. Your description of Missy's knee made my stomach roil, just like it did when I'd have to deal with those sorts of things when the offspring were small. I don't miss those days! I suppose I'll have to deal with it again should they ever decide to bless me with grandchildren. ;)

I'm rather worried about the internet connection when we finally move out to the forest. I don't think I could ever go back to dial-up. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time! LOL

    I love that purple polka-dotted cardi! :)

  17. Beautiful dresses!
I am the worst type of person to have as many children as I do. Youngest son came home from snowboarding some years ago complaining that his shoulder hurt when he raised his arm over his head. "So don't raise your arm over your head" Duh. Several days went by, and he complained again, so I finally took him to the doctor. Broken collarbone, of course. I felt bad, that counts.
I've been told that plants survive when watered regularly. I've yet to test this magic. xo

I know with my lot, they used to pull a fast one and pretend to be sick, a lot! haha! so now I take most things with a pinch of salt, and of course with my daughter, I now feel really guilty as I didn't believe her! I'm trying the water method with the plants *fingers crossed* and thank you for your lovely comment! x x x have lovely weekend
