Getting organised with Paloma

Hello there! I hope you are all well and have had a wonderful start to the New Year!

I have been a little busy the last few weeks (work, extra hours, training, general blah stuff), I have been tardy, disgraceful stuff indeed!  Now, there are some things I know about myself e.g. I am a little un-organised and I like shiny stuff however I didn't realise how routine based I am, and lately my routine has been picked up by a bat and smashed against the wall.

I gave myself a few days to sort myself out and kept away from the laptop, soooo unfair, I missed you all.  But I got some sleep, eat well and organised myself and the house.

My Paloma Calender
I don't think I have ever used one
which is ridiculous, I have children!
school trips and whatnot
now I am organised

1 leek, 2 potatoes and stuff
healthy (well, apart from the bacon and white bread)

Work bag with all the new stuff I am trained on
my brain feels like fish are swimming in it
It wouldn't surprise me if they were

Sweet flowers from Mr F

I was attempting an androgynous look
Like Marlene Dietrich
I managed silver service waitress
(which I've done, tough stuff!)

I took sooo many pics
I ended up with 3!!

Fuzzy pics
I know, I'm gifted

Elizabeth Taylor was right
'Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick and pull yourself together'
........well after a little rest first

I have the afternoon free
I'm coming over to see you

my world is back to normal
*sigh and relax*

see you soon my Lovelies

  3. Ha, I love your briefcase - a basket with a Sainsbury's bag, perfect! Hope those aren't Top Secret documents in there, Sandra...
Ugh, being organised. Pain in the arse. I bet you function as the family memory, don't you? Mums are usually expected to remember and sort out everyone's arrangements, aren't they? I get worse at it, not better, I'm sure I used to be efficient, once upon a time. Anyway, I hope Paloma keeps you on track.
You look gorgeous in Silver Service Chic, but I'm not sure I would ever call you androgynous, love - it's a small matter of the bosom, I'm afraid! xxx

  4. I'm with Curtise ... androgynous you are not ... but fabulous you definitely are.
I must get organised too ... but not till after the summer holidays ... I might discover I should be doing something ... and I'm so enjoying doing nothing.

  9. Welcome back after your little rest and recovery session! I like the idea of a calendar (especially glam Paloma!) but have never used one either. I try and just remember everything and usually am pretty good if I cover the fridge with all of the important notices, letters and stuff, but have monumentally failed many a time (school excursion forgotten!). Maybe this year I will try and keep organised enough to write things in a calendar. Maybe. I love your "androgynous" look but have to concur with the others - the "girls" are getting in the way! Keep being well and have some more of that yummy soup for me! XXX

So far the calender has nothing in it haha! just pretty Paloma (I don't want her defaced, she doesn't deserve it!) I have forgotten so many things my kids harass me now so I don't forget, oh shame! and yes the 'girls' gave the game away hehe! x x x

  12. Darling woman you are back where you belong in the bosom of your blogger friends!! I like routines but sometimes I stuff them up. Calendars I do but I stuff that up to, so I always work with the theory of there is another day tomorrow! Works good for me. Now I would enjoy dining out if you were my waitress silver service or not, it would be hilarious fun! But yay, you are back with tales of soup and white bread, flowers from Mr foxy, life is good.

  14. Well, as they say - we learn all the time. Especially about ourselves! Some time ago I thought about myself as chaotic, but now I also know how strict I can be in doing things exactly as always. And how frustrated I can be when something goes other way. But this come with my anxiety disorders I think ;)

Have some rest after tiring time!

It's true, I am still learning so much, and anxiety can be terribly frustrating and difficult, we have to be patient with ourselves x x x

  15. Hi Sandra!

You know it happens to be untidy and unorganised sometimes - It happens to the best
What kind of soup did you made, you said patato, leek, bacon....you know bacon is not that bad in small quantities
I would have the bacon before the white bread, that's bad!

    I love your B and W outfit,
You know what you look a bit like Liz, yes! really!

    Take care

Potato and leek soup (nutmeg, veg stock cube, milk and whizzed)! I seem to tolerate a moderate amount of disorder, but not a huge amount, which is why we have bacon! makes life good! x x x ps I wish I looked like Liz hehe!! x x x

  16. How much I enjoy reading your posts! You definitely have a lot going on! What have you been trained on?
You know what? If you take off the bow-tie and straighten up your shirt collar I think you get the Marlene Dietrich look!
