In the final scene, Olympia Dukakis cooks breakfast and makes eggs meanwhile affairs end and love begins, food is central to the drama.
Today I felt like some Moonstruck eggs for breakfast
It's a bizarre craving, but sometimes it is only this that I want. And some music.
Yesterday, I discovered my camera has a timer
The time was going to come where my lot would be bored with my prancing around getting photo's
State of the art tripod
practising on a 2 second timer
Jacked up on caffeine, in anticipation of my late shift
I'm on my own!
I had a blast, and felt liberated in my photographic independence
Cookie is never impressed with my nonsense
and shows me how to do it
I realise my pictures are pretty bad
2 seconds means I do this a lot
and this
This is best I've got!
I can't quite comprehend just how much joy I feel through learning something so simple
but I do
While I am on a roll
I am on a Tracy Ullman kick
'Breakaway'
hope it works
I hope you all have an amazing weekend
and a big Hello and welcome to those who are new
and if you feel like
let me know any of your tummy butterfly making films
see you soon
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
LOL ... love your timer shots ... it's a whole new variation on candid camera.
ReplyDeleteMust check if my camera has one too :0)
xx
try it! its a whole lot of fun! x x
DeleteHa! That's brilliant! I learnt how to use my timer a fortnight ago and most of the time the camera went off before I could get into the frame! You've done much better! Have a fab weekend. x
ReplyDeleteit's a great thing! hope your Saturday was fabulous! x x
DeleteI love love love that movie. Great bathos from Cage and surprisingly good acting from Cher.
ReplyDeleteAlso enjoy the talented Tracey Ullman. Do you know what famous TV show got its start as a brief skit on Tracey's variety show? "The Simpsons"!
I had to look 'bathos' up hehe! and yes you are right! great fact snippet too, very useful for quizzes (another thing I love!) x x
DeleteOh that 2 second timer. Soooooo bossy! We have had a few tussles. You look a-dor-a-ble. Isn't Tracey cute? She's such a brat.
ReplyDeleteConnie, you are too kind, thank-you - Tracy is awesome! x x
DeleteCute cats. All four of them.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ulla! x x
DeleteThe best you've got is pretty bloody awesome! Love that grey frock, love your posing!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Moonstruck in years! I;d quite forgotten about it, and now I need to rewatch it, as I loved it! Cher! Can't go wrong.......XXX
definitely!, Moonstruck is awesome, Thanks Helga! x x
DeleteLove the polka dot ensemble and the floral dress on you! Fabulous. The grey dress is also gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDoes your camera not have a 10 second timer as well? Mine gives me the option of 2 seconds, 10 seconds, and 10 seconds with multiple shots. I'd never get in place in 2 seconds. Lol.
Thanks Louise! there is a 12 second option, but I kept getting bored and start fidgeting! x x
DeleteLove your cat eye frames!!
ReplyDeleteand moonstruck is one of my fav romance films too!!

Thank you for your kind words Sacramento x x
DeleteOh I remember the joy of discovering my camera's timer, and like you I constructed some rickety towers for the camera to sit on that Macguyver would of been proud of. It is so liberating not to have to rely on someone to take photo's for you and much less embarrassing. Love all your shots and now you have made me hanker for Moonstruck eggs. XXX
ReplyDeleteit's a whole bunch of fun prancing round! no more groaning from my lot! x x
Deletecute pictures! without a timer there wouldn't be a blog of mine ... don't forget to mention the tripod! ;)
ReplyDeleteyou are most professional! your pics are always so good! x x
DeleteI love Moonstruck so much! Best speech ever: "Loretta, I love you. Not like they told you love is, and I didn't know this either, but love don't make things nice - it ruins everything. It breaks your heart. It makes things a mess. We aren't here to make things perfect. The snowflakes are perfect. The stars are perfect. Not us. Not us! We are here to ruin ourselves and to break our hearts and love the wrong people and die."
ReplyDeleteSO GOOD!
what a speech!!!! so so good, and you know it off by heart! *swoon* x x I love that speech!! x x
DeleteGreat pics!love them!you have a really cute blog, would you like to follow each other?let me know!kisses!
ReplyDeletethank you so much! your blog is awesome! x x
DeleteI am sooooooooo glad.
ReplyDeletebesos, my friend
you have inspired me! thank you! xx
DeleteI'm late here too, bad me.
ReplyDeleteBefore I bought a tripod (only cheap, off Ebay) I used to balance my camera on the ironing board with a pen under the lens to stop it tipping over. High tech, that's me. Get a tripod, it'll make things loads easier, honest, and you'll enjoy it! You'll be able to go outside, set that timer, and pose away for the amusement of your neighbours!
You always look beautiful. xxxx
My poor neighbours! they can get the washing in, in about 20 secs anyway I think to avoid eye contact with the prancing queen I am (they are actually super lovely!)
DeleteWill definitely scout around for a tripod, and thank you x x
Oh I adore Cher in Moonstruck. Loving your grey chi chi dress,I have a tripod, but prefer bugging my husband taking my pics. I should really use my tripod. oh well..
ReplyDeleteBesos
I'll have to get a tripod! you have a sweet husband, mine definitely has had enough! and thank you x x
