I take it as a complement being the Dragon!

Yes I do!,
I am emblazoned on Mr Foxy's right calf as the Dragon and on his left arm, draped over his shoulders and twirled around the right arm.  I am protection around the names of our children and Mr Foxy and this is my face.

C'est moi!!, probably an accurate portrayal of my facial hair
this was 4 years of work
it is huge
and it's me!

I'm rather fond of her bitch face
one day if Mr Foxy will allow, I will show you all of her majesty.

I tried purple hair again this week
this was promising
vibrant and everything
as I am the worst hairdresser ever (I cut my own hair with the latest design 'kitchen hack scissors')
I thought *fingers crossed* this will work

 seriously

I can't even begin to tell you how many brands and how many colours I have tried.
My hair refuses to accept anything colourful
It's conservative, it's stubborn and this happens all the time, 20 years of dabbling and this!
grrrrrr

and then our laptop decides to throw a hissy fit, rolls over and feigns illness
honestly!
I have borrowed our eldest's laptop for my post and will be out of action until the laptop is resumed
my mobile doesn't do internet - pah!

In the absence of internet distractions, and watching some truly mind squashing daytime TV, I was in a scary position,  no distractions, what can I do? I was bored and then I opted to tidy up, I TIDIED UP! I voluntarily tidied up and became domesticated, and did housey things
and in a weird twist of the universe
has a fab post on Kitchen Couture
this is me, vintage apron (great things they cover the whole frock! arg! domestic advice, help me !!)

Bonus event, today was payday for me
I took Mr Foxy out for a pint of lager

I will catch up while I have an actual working laptop,
If I don't reply to any sweet, lovely and fabulous comments, please don't be offended
I am in internet limbo
until the laptop works again!
I hopefully will see you soon
much love

  1. You know, I was born in the Chinese year of the Dragon (well, one of them) which I think is entirely appropriate. Dragons are fabulous. You are fabulous. And I'm four wines in, but it's still true.
Mt Foxy's tattoo is a work of art (show the rest, show the rest!)
Where did the purple go? I can't see any hint of purple! My hair takes colour fine, but can't keep hold of it, the red fades like a bugger.
Look at you, domestic goddess, be-aproned and stirring the pot. What were you making? Was it delicious? That is the cutest little green cardi, and your glasses are fab.
Boo to laptop woes - hurray to the weekend! Watch your clematis! xxxx

    1. Curtise, I admire your strength and determination! 4 wines! I got to 4 wines on Friday and my lazy eye kicked in - my buggery hair refuses anything exciting! I cooked pasta and meatballs! oh yeah!

Mr Foxy has been repeatedly asking me when I will mount Foxy!!!! hahahahahaha, honestly, you are all fab!

  2. I love your brown dress and green cardi combo outfit. It's beautiful.

Have you tried using the Schwarzkopf live xxl hair dyes? They do a few purple dyes. I have naturally dark hair and I still manage to get reasonably bright red hair from dyes in that range. xx

  3. I am visiting my 90 year old parents and am freaking out as I cook dinner because I don't have my favorite good-luck apron to wear!! I love yours. Although I wasn't domesticated early in life, I've come to appreciate the culinary arts and the fun of creating a fabulous meal to share with family or friends. I love your glasses, BTW. I think you're fabulous all around.

  4. Argh, technology woes, both computer AND hair related!!!
I have never tried anything other than bleach, black dye or henna (which I have been using for 15 or so years) so sadly cannot give any advice re purple hair!
I do hope BOTH work out!!!
LOVE that you are a dragon!!! Squee!XXX

  5. Now first of all you are extremely brave to do anything at all to your own hair ... I wouldn't trust myself with either scissors or hair dye. That said perhaps an actual hairdresser would get your hair to behave itself and do what you want it too.
Next, I love your apron ... I never cook without one ... and love that your are stirring with one hand and drinking with the other ... which is the ONLY way to cook.
Lastly, I love the dress and cardi ... and am very pleased to see your bag's girdle is still holding up :0)
    xx

    1. the bag is doing well! her slightly S&M girdling is a delight hehe! you know you are absolutely right about the hairdressers, but I am far too tight to spend money on my hair! x x

  6. All the cool girls are hanging out in the kitchen. So cute in your apron! Wow. A Dragon! I'd be proud, too. I'm often compared to a seal. I once, by mistake, dyed my hair Bozo orange. It was terrifying. I called the L'Oreal hotline at 2am in tears. I will never ever again attempt to do it myself. You are a very brave purple dragon.

    1. Connie, you made me laugh and I feel so bad!, the L'Oreal hotline is a wonderful thing, I hope it wasn't a voicemail with an indifferent hairperson x x

  7. The domestic slatterns are taking over the kitchen - thank goodness for understanding men who can tidy up after us!
Love the Mr's tattoo, I want to see more! You look gorgeous in your pinny and even better in your going-out-for-a-lager outfit. What a shame about your resilient hair - get yourself a wig, you can beat it! xxx

  8. You always wear such lovely outfits and I think your hair looks fab as it is.

I tend to cut and colour my own too, I use La Riche Directions as it's non permanent and doesn't cause the damage
that permanents do, which means being able to go a different colour each month if you desired : )

I'd love to see hubby's ink in all it's glory - it looks amazing xx

  10. Excellent tattoo! And the only way I had purple hair (years ago) was by bleaching it first. My hair is too dark to take the color otherwise.

  11. That is true love, having you entwined around Mr. Foxy's body 24 hours a day. You are a fantastic model of kitchen couture. You must get back your technology so you can STOP tidying. I also love your going-out outfit.
If you want to go purple, looks like you'll have to go lighter first, gaaah. I know that when I want colour, I want it NOW! I just remembered that you can get coloured powder for your hair, instant and impermanent. I should try that too.
