I had my once every 3 year smear yesterday, I don't know what comes over me! I conduct my conversation with the nurse in my phone voice, I am dressed in a ridiculous fashion, when I got home I see that my mascara has smeared! I didn't even shave my legs, I looked like I was wearing leggings, the poor woman, she looked like she needed a drink afterwards, and probably wanted to wash her eyes out too.
Today I decided to go to the shops, I popped into Barnado's, £1.99 for anything. I spot a gorgeous Jaeger dress and a divine frock, perfect for a dainty frame, being robustly built I waved them farewell. I did buy 2 dresses for the younger girls.
and also fairy light for my dismal and dark kitchen
of course I am dressed appropriately for light DIY work
Not Christmas lights
Cookie really does love the camera, she's fabulous and very naughty, while I put up my lights she brought in a poor dead bird. After a chase, I get the bird and bury it. I say a little prayer to it.
Whiskers is much more relaxed
I've also become very fond/obsessed of these fake plaits

Aww yay! Your package arrived safely!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked everything, the butterfly and framed card look just perfect.
That polka dot cardi is quite lovely.
I'm loving those hair braids too.
I have some black ones to match my current hair colour, but whenever I try to wear them, they keep slipping out.
They live in the bottom of a drawer now!
Enjoy the rest of your week xx
Thanks Yvonne! I have to clip them in otherwise I would have no chance of them staying in! have a lovely week too! x x x
DeleteI am a firm believer that their is nothing better in this world than fairy lights ... except perhaps a cat reclining in the manner of a centrefold ... Penthouse Pet of course.

Sorry for the terrible error I just made in using the incorrect there/their .... I said their ... but I meant there ... so there!
DeleteAha. A fellow grammarian!
DeleteOh Jo, you make me howl laughing, and then I had to show Mr F too, we sat there giggling!
DeleteYour posts always bring a smile to my face ,love your leopard print cape and the spotted cardigan and your dresses.
ReplyDeleteYou can never have to many fairy lights that what I say, kisses Les
Thanks Lesley! quite right about fairy lights! I love 'em too! x x x
DeleteWhy haven't I thought of wearing my fake braids like that? I love 'em on you! the cape is sublime, too.
ReplyDeleteThe kitties are such pretties (and I'm a poet!)
Well done on winning that Yvonne's giveaway, the butterfly is gorgeous and so are the lovely extras! xxx
Thanks Vix, you are a poet! the cape is my Eldest's castoff, actually my phone is her castoff too (I love them castoff's haha) x x x

ReplyDeleteEeeekkkk December.........how did that happen.
Love v
Thanks V, I can't even believe December has dropped in almost unannounced! x x x
DeleteOh don't worry about your hairy legs - the nurse will have been focusing her attentions somewhere else entirely... I sometimes feel I must be the only woman left in the western world with pubic hair. Oops, did I over-share? Never mind, it's just between you and me and the nurse (had my smear the other week too!)
ReplyDeleteNow, let's move away from the lady garden, and on to your pussies. Aren't I hilarious? Beautiful kitties. Apart from the murderous tendencies, of course. Cats, chazzing, fairy lights, fake plaits, and winning giveaways all make life worth living, hurray! xxxx
Me too with the pubic hair!, overshare? nah! and yes you are hilarious! you wonderful woman! x x x
DeleteI love your fake braids - I may have to invest in some. And that dress IS appropriate for manual labour surely. Now if you wore a fur stole perhaps or tiara not so much, but you were perfect as you were. I am wiping everything you said about the smear test from my mind as I am terribly overdue for one. I just can't find a Dr who I am content to peek under the frock. Wish we could do our own. Great giveaway haul - love that brass butterfly. XXX
ReplyDeleteThanks Brooke! although you have got me thinking about the tiara! hope you find a decent Doc to do the smear, imagine though if we could do our own, we could have smear parties with wine and nibbles, we would make the wretched things much more civilised! x x x
DeleteI love the fake plaits. They look real!
ReplyDeleteThe teapot is fab, and that Lipstick is a lovely colour.
Cookie is adorable. Whiskers definitely looks more relaxed, and still adorable!
More people should dress like that whilst doing DIY xxx
Thanks Roxy! DIY frocked up is an elegant affair and highly recommended! x x x
