Brain into gear please!

I hope you are all well and having a wonderful start to the week!

I am listening to 'Big Party Tunes' on MTV  courtesy of the Eldest (haven't the foggiest really, 'Martin Garrix?? and Jlo is now retro)  and watching 'vines' on the Eldest's phone, they are 7 second videos, some are a little risque, others are flaming hilarious

'Ghost' evidence

I do not possess a sophisticated sense of humour
I find farts funny

Eldest was a legend though, as today I attended Little Miss-ette's Christmas Service this morning
She said 'you don't have to come Mum, I'm not reading anything' awww

I got a top spot and waved, blew kisses and did smiley faces

and then realised it was the last Christmas Service I will see
Little Miss-ette is in Junior School
and in September attends High School
they don't do this in High School

my inside face did this
and I blinked away tears, and had to think of anything other than my baby growing up
I am a terrible whinger, seriously bad
I've never been able to finish the story of 'The Matchstick Girl' to my children
it's when her Grandmother comes for her, I'm in bits! and I'm filling up writing this!! I'm a mess!
GAH!

Missy and Little Miss-ette
this is what she looked like when she started Junior school

 I bought this afterwards
I can confirm they do contain some Joy!
and were half price, 69p

I was dressed most respectfully

ARMLETS! I adore these things

On a bizarre note, I startled 3 people in Aldi yesterday
probably because I wasn't wearing a coat

I love this pic of the Eldest
a fringe roller and a decoration
obviously!

I hope you are all having a marvelous start to the week

I'm off to give myself a vigorous talking too hehe!

see you soon!

  4. Ha, I got strange looks the other day for walking home in a dress, shoes and no coat. I was carrying my coat. I had however been stuck in a sweaty buildng all day and needed to cool down. The Matchstick Girl was one of my favourite stories as a child.

You and your family look like so much fun.

  6. Farts ... and people falling over ... I find them both HILARIOUS ... so clearly I am most unsophisticated also.
GAH ... why are our children growing up so fast?? Make it stop. Of course we haven't aged a single day ... nosiree.
Hope you have a marvelous rest of the week ... and don't go getting a chill in your armpits ... now will you.

  10. I have the same sort of sense of humour, what were the odds?? Nothing ages you quite like not knowing the singers in your kids music and ours now being considered Retro!! I confess to being older than you so my music may be vintage!! Love your cape and the armlets. My week is going along nicely, thanks for asking.

  11. Ha ha - I love the ghost vine!

Loving the hat, you look as gorgeous as ever and your girls clearly take after their mama.

It is sad when our babies get older, but they have so many more achievements and phases in their lives yet :)

    Loving today's brooches ;)

Have a lovely day and keep smiling xx

  13. Oh no, are you a Sobbing Mummy? No! Stop it now! It's GOOD that they are moving on up in the world and in their lives, still plenty to enjoy and celebrate! I clearly need some advice on how to get a better spec at the school concert/play/service - I went to Nina's (Littlest) play yesterday and was stuck at the back on the wrong side and only saw her once in the whole thing! But no, I didn't cry. Felt like punching the dad in front of me who held his camera up to film the whole thing so that was all I could see. Yeah, thanks for that...
Blimey, bare arms, you are a toughie! Love the leopard print cape, your darling girls, and the bonkers "ghost"! xxxx

    1. haha! I am a crier, it's appalling, I have cried over pans when Abby (Eldest) was going to leave to stay in Halls of residence, I know, grim! cameras are now banned at all productions so we avoid any rude buggers, you did well not to deck him! did Nina enjoy her play? I miss them! must put a cardi on though soon, I'll be a chapped mess x x x

  14. I love that cape, and the arm warmers. I definitely need both of those - a cape is so easy to throw off during hot flashes, and the arm warmers (I actually want fingerless gloves) will keep my hands warm on the keyboard in between hot flashes.

J Lo is retro? The world moves on so quickly. She had her day. It's always good to know what's "now" in the world.

  16. Great set of photos, Sandra. It's SO hard to watch our kids grow up ---and it all happens too quickly. I remember those days when my sons went from Jr. High to High School ----then on to college---then marriage----then babies ----etc. etc. etc…. Life just moves along so quickly… You just need to take advantage of every minute of those kids' lives!!!!!!

    Hugs,
    Betsy
