The Emergency Pants are back

It's been an interesting week so far, Sunday we had no internet, I also arrived back from work in the nick of time as the Eldest was about to use a wax strip on Missy's eyebrows.
Monday catch up with blogs and then the lovely tummy virus got me, bugger! children do like to share their germs don't they? Sleep is always a good medicine, so I slept a lot.  I have been visiting blogs, if any of my comments are any more bizarre than usual I do apologise, I am still a little bleurgh.  I am also quite late visiting, unacceptable!

I am sparing you the full grimness
I am wearing my emergency pants
I don't have 'lounge wear'

  1. Ha, I've also been sick and am actually home from work today. Going to bed in a few minutes... but had to comment that your pictures remind me of Kate Bush and her large kimono-ish tops from the 70's. Fly away! xoxo Hope you feel better and who doesn't want a didgeroo?

  9. Aw, I hope you're feeling much better now. I think dressing up when you feel ill helps to make you feel a little better; or at least comforted. Sure works for me, anyway. (I don't do lounge wear either). Love the polka dot trousers!! The kimono (?) you're wearing also looks both fabulous and comfy! Perfect 'lounge wear', if you ask me! I think it's lucky you arrived before a waxing incident occurred! I'm sure it wouldn't have ended well... I let loose on my own when I was 12 or 13 and ruined them for life by over-plucking! I wish I hadn't. I also sold some similar didgeridoos when I worked in the children's store. We had all sorts of handcrafted instruments from around the world... They used to drive me mad!! Also, the xmas brooch (?) is really cute! xx

    1. Thanks Louise, I am and yes I think getting dressed does help! arg the dangers though of plucking, I'm glad I walked in when I did, the strip was about an inch away from her!! my Aunt over plucked and has had 70's thin eyebrows until she got some tattoed on (looks very natural) x x x

  12. Your emergency pants are quite acceptable, they are polka dots!!! Everyone needs emergency pants, mine are quite daggy. The waxing incident reminded me when my two older sisters shaved MY LEGS because they wanted to see what it was like, I was 10!! Hope the tummy is feeling better, but word of advise, do not trust any farts!!

    1. haha! the scary fart moment!!! siblings do some things to each other though, my elder brother cut my youngest brothers hair once, it was not one of the best bowl cuts, but a shave at 10! mind you mine have started at 11/12! I think my winter legs have frightened them! x x x

  13. When the situation arises … or descends … as the case may be … that emergency pants are called for … my advice is to not leave the bathroom at all … but to spend the entire day perched on the throne. Oops … did I go too far :0)
