Something happened along the way. I now view my heels in a suspicious manner. I have 'sit-down' shoes, which can be worn as long I am sitting down for as long as possible.
I'm back in training (Inspired by Miss Helga Von Trollop http://helgavontrollop.blogspot.co.uk/who always is magnificently attired, and always wearing very fine footwear)
Work outfit, predictable mix
the camera is being a mahoosive pain
it won't flash when it's meant to
it's flashing at the wrong time constantly......how rude!
Today I'm joining in with Anne's 52 week pick up

I have rudely neglected to show what Mr Peter Worrall donated
instead I am flashing my petticoat

Heels...well, yes. Hard thing. How is it that some girls are somehow born with them, and some just can't wear them how ever hard they try?! Yes, I'm from this second category...
ReplyDeleteSad!
Have a good post-Tuesday week!
hehe, me too it seems, I'm in your category too! have a great weekend x x x
DeleteI love the LOOK of heels, but oh, my middle-aged feet do complain if i wear them for very long... Taxi shoes, I call them - my version of your sitting down shoes!
ReplyDeleteA fab scarf and gorgeous frocks, a petticoat to flash, days out by the sea, and a toy boy? You've got it all! Hope Mr F gets some bookings...! xxxx
I like our commitment to 'the shoe' though! still worn, though very carefully! x x x
DeleteYou look flawless and beautifully even in the rain in England, my dear! I am in love with all your clothes, having wonderful week, dear Lady.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosy! have a wonderful weekend x x x
DeleteWhere do you get your dresses from I do love them so, omg I do love heels but the poor feet do not, but I keep wearing the bloody shoes lol, I'm short so flats don't really do it like the heels do when you are short.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Happy birthday to your other half with love and kisses Les x
Thanks Les! Lindybop and Miss V of London are most of the places I get my dresses, I am way too robust for vintage! yep I'm short too, heels make me almost average height hehe! x x x
DeleteI wish we had rain, honestly! it's -30 this morning, pure hell i tell you!
ReplyDeleteI love you cute ensemble and those blue heels you got on, good luck with the heel training, i abandonned the idea long ago, hahaha!
High heel are for pics or sitting down - But i love platform shoes, i can stand and walk with them without looking like handicaped ostrich!
Take care
Arianexo
Oh my goodness! I don't even know what -30 would feel like, I hope you are staying as warm as possible and in non-slippy shoes! x x x
DeleteGreat pictures! I love your dress! Kisses dear.

Thank you x x x
DeleteWell, Ann Spy Girl also mentions starting the week at Wednesday. If only. Then Friday would come that much faster.
ReplyDeleteI adore that scarf! I remember Sorrento. No, I'm not just reading it, I mean I really do remember seeing Sorrento. It was May and the air smelled like pasta puttanesca...
Small scarves can be tricky, though, since by the time you tie them there's nothing to see! But still, you know what's there, and little bits of color will peak out. Blue and orange are quite the thing just now - so vibrant and lovely!
It's fun to see pictures of Liverpool. We did quite a bit of work there when we lived in Crewe - we made some short video programs for the university. Beautiful city!
Thanks Val, I've never been to Sorrento but the smell of it sounds delicious! I love you have been to Liverpool, I hope it treated you well x x x
DeleteYou have a very handsome hubby--but I'm sure you know that. Gorgeous scarf.... Love it..
ReplyDeleteMy favorite photo in this post is the one with you and the umbrella. CUTE...
Cold here this morning. Was MINUS 2 about 6 a.m. Yipes!
Hugs,
Betsy
Thanks Betsy! you have made hubby's day! I do hope it starts warming up for you soon x x x
DeleteLove that dress and petticoat! Your whole outfit is super cute.
ReplyDeleteI too have many shoes that are perfect for sitting, or being carried around on a plush sofa by six bare chested men.
bisous
Suzanne
Thanks Suzanne! I think you have given us the best way to wear heels ever! x x x
DeleteOh sweet my days of heels are long gone......poor old knees tell me so.
ReplyDeleteThe blue shoes are fantastic and look super cute with that gorgeous dress.
Happy birthday to your toy-boy.......love v
Thanks Miss V! my knees are loudly talking to me too at the moment! x x x
DeleteI see somebody is taking the right pics of the whole attire, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ReplyDelete( is that toy-boy? You look sooooooooooooooo pretty in that dsress and cutest blue shoes ever.
Happy Birthday toy boy keep the good photography going, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Thanks Sacramento! I am getting a tripod soon, my feet will be part of me again! x x x
DeleteLovely outfit Sandra, and what a hot couple!! I used to wear heels always before becoming a mum, then I started thinking exactly like you said, pondering the sitting time versus the walking time :-)

Thanks Coco, yes Motherhood greatly affected my footwear choices too! x x x
DeleteI "used" to wear heels ... very high heels ... I'm only 5 foot 2 and they were my best friends. Somewhere around the time that I fell over in a gutter ... and tore the ligaments in my ankle ... and ended up on crutches for weeks ... we had a difference of opinion and a falling out ... get it ;0).
ReplyDeleteOur friendship never fully recovered ... my faith and trust in them was severely impaired ... we have only been the most casual of acquaintances ever since.
xx
We're the same height! and oh my goodness your ankle, bloody gutters! and cobble stones! I would have a distant relationship with the blighters too, ow, crutches, you must have been in agony x x x
DeleteI have to wear mid heels and I tend to buy old dancing shoes (I found awesome vintage tap shoes and had the taps taken off even though I kinda wanted to keep the taps on and dance around everywhere!) because they are really really comfortable. I love your blue heels, and gorgeous dress with your flash of petticoat (your crinoline is more interesting that who donated what way back when!). Looks like a wonderful day out with your toy boy! XXX
ReplyDeletewhat a brilliant idea, old dancing shoes and I think mid heels are the best now too, and thank you for your lovliness, ps I think I would want to keep the taps on too, tapping around sounds excellent! x x x
DeleteHeels? In the snow? How on earth did you not fall over? I always fall over in the snow just wearing flat ankle boots or Converse! Now I just wear Joules wellibobs (ankle wellies), and I stay up right! Haha! I've never been great at walking in heels, but I do love them and wish I could cope. (One day I WILL have an Irregular Choice collection). I love the blue pair you're wearing and the blue dress is also a beauty! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Louise! Irregular Choice are fab shoes and would look excellent on you! btw I think the only thing that kept me up in those heels was teenage attitude haha! x x x
Deletecute, cute, cute outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteheels ... before i got the stress fracture thing in 2012 (4 months on crutches) i was the queen of heels. ...but my life has changed since then. just little heels or no heels ... meanwhile even my knees start to moan, if i try on glamorous high heels. sniff.
Thank you! and 4 months on crutches?? oh my word! you poor thing, you do always wear beautiful footwear though! x x x
DeleteHa ha - I hope you get many bookings for your birthday toyboy!
ReplyDeleteYou look fab as always, I do love the scarf, and your petticoat is gorgeous under that dress.
I gave up wearing heels after a rather chunky pair of boots caused me to fall of a curb,
which resulted in metal plates and screws in my ankle.
Sadly, no more heels for me, even if I wanted to.
Have a wonderful day xx
Thanks Yvonne! I've booked him for excursions and occasional hoovering! hehe! metal plates and screws in your ankles? oh my word, you poor woman, metal plates and screws! I think I would hiss at all heels if that happened to me x x x
DeleteI cannot do heels of any height as I am very prone to falling off them and that is when very sober! I do wedges now if I need height, much safer for an old bird like me. I would love to book Mr F if his petticoat flashing side kick is thrown in! Can this be arranged at a discounted rate and sent to my home? Think of the fun we could have!!!! You have daughters I have sons, think of the mayhem or the little matches made in heaven!
ReplyDeleteWedges are ace, and I do have a serious crush on your footwear! although I used to fall off wedge mules constantly, but I am inherently clumsy (I walk into door frames etc) yes! book Mr F, we would have a flaming ball! matches and mayhem included! x x x ps you would never get rid of us though haha! x x x
DeleteI used to wear heels everyday to my office job a few years ago. The higher the better. In fact, on the weekends my feet and calves would ache from walking around the house barefoot. Now, I'll do anything to avoid wearing heels (some outfits just won't look good without them you know?). I still buy them out of habit, but boy they give me the blues.
ReplyDeleteI understand! that's why I'm trying to get used to them again, I have pretty pretty heels I don't even consider wearing (I'm sure they cry when I'm not looking *oh sigh*) x x x
DeleteThank you x x x
ReplyDeleteThanks Katherine,and I'll pop over and have a look! x x x
ReplyDeleteI don't do heels, except when I'm in the office! Power dressing, I'm 5ft9 so a pair of 6inch+ heels make me taller than most the people in the office, so I can pretend I'm more important than I am!! xx
ReplyDeleteOh that's Fabulous! when I feel occasionally tall (ok, average height!) in heels, that's what I love, the sass and feeling powerful, you must be constantly magnificent! x x x
Deletelol i too have a huge collection of heels that i wore everywhere! I occasionally attempt heel training and manage to walk about a metre...once i even managed to let go of the side of the wardrobe before giving up in pain! perhaps i should try again those blue shoes are mighty fine! Loving your outfit x
ReplyDeleteDear i love your blog!!! Its fantastic. sweet and lovely and very funny!!!!! Kisssss from Madrid!
