High Heel Training Resumes

Once upon a time I wore heels everywhere and in any weather conditions, I remember having a hot pink pair of very high stiletto's I wore in the snow.... without falling too!
Something happened along the way. I now view my heels in a suspicious manner. I have 'sit-down' shoes, which can be worn as long I am sitting down for as long as possible.
I'm back in training (Inspired by Miss Helga Von Trollop http://helgavontrollop.blogspot.co.uk/who always is magnificently attired, and always wearing very fine footwear)

Work outfit, predictable mix
the camera is being a mahoosive pain
it won't flash when it's meant to
it's flashing at the wrong time constantly......how rude!

Today I'm joining in with Anne's 52 week pick up
'Choose a scarf. Wear those colours'
Scarf £1 from Chazza shop

Trying to show a scarf on a stubby neck is quite tricky

actually, it's impossible

Extra ooomph from petticoat

We played out as Mr F is on holiday
it's his birthday tomorrow
for 6 months of the year he is the same age as me bwa-ha-ha, ma toyboy!

The Palm House, Sefton Park

Parents play time in the rain, it is England hehe!

Otterspool Prom

I have rudely neglected to show what Mr Peter Worrall donated
instead I am flashing my petticoat

  1. Heels...well, yes. Hard thing. How is it that some girls are somehow born with them, and some just can't wear them how ever hard they try?! Yes, I'm from this second category...
    Sad!

    Have a good post-Tuesday week!

  2. I love the LOOK of heels, but oh, my middle-aged feet do complain if i wear them for very long... Taxi shoes, I call them - my version of your sitting down shoes!
A fab scarf and gorgeous frocks, a petticoat to flash, days out by the sea, and a toy boy? You've got it all! Hope Mr F gets some bookings...! xxxx

  7. Well, Ann Spy Girl also mentions starting the week at Wednesday. If only. Then Friday would come that much faster.

I adore that scarf! I remember Sorrento. No, I'm not just reading it, I mean I really do remember seeing Sorrento. It was May and the air smelled like pasta puttanesca...

Small scarves can be tricky, though, since by the time you tie them there's nothing to see! But still, you know what's there, and little bits of color will peak out. Blue and orange are quite the thing just now - so vibrant and lovely!

It's fun to see pictures of Liverpool. We did quite a bit of work there when we lived in Crewe - we made some short video programs for the university. Beautiful city!

I too have many shoes that are perfect for sitting, or being carried around on a plush sofa by six bare chested men.

  13. I "used" to wear heels ... very high heels ... I'm only 5 foot 2 and they were my best friends. Somewhere around the time that I fell over in a gutter ... and tore the ligaments in my ankle ... and ended up on crutches for weeks ... we had a difference of opinion and a falling out ... get it ;0).
Our friendship never fully recovered ... my faith and trust in them was severely impaired ... we have only been the most casual of acquaintances ever since.

  14. I have to wear mid heels and I tend to buy old dancing shoes (I found awesome vintage tap shoes and had the taps taken off even though I kinda wanted to keep the taps on and dance around everywhere!) because they are really really comfortable. I love your blue heels, and gorgeous dress with your flash of petticoat (your crinoline is more interesting that who donated what way back when!). Looks like a wonderful day out with your toy boy! 15. Heels? In the snow? How on earth did you not fall over? I always fall over in the snow just wearing flat ankle boots or Converse! Now I just wear Joules wellibobs (ankle wellies), and I stay up right! Haha! I've never been great at walking in heels, but I do love them and wish I could cope. (One day I WILL have an Irregular Choice collection). I love the blue pair you're wearing and the blue dress is also a beauty! xx

heels ... before i got the stress fracture thing in 2012 (4 months on crutches) i was the queen of heels. ...but my life has changed since then. just little heels or no heels ... meanwhile even my knees start to moan, if i try on glamorous high heels. sniff.

  17. Ha ha - I hope you get many bookings for your birthday toyboy!

You look fab as always, I do love the scarf, and your petticoat is gorgeous under that dress.

I gave up wearing heels after a rather chunky pair of boots caused me to fall of a curb,
which resulted in metal plates and screws in my ankle.
Sadly, no more heels for me, even if I wanted to.

    Have a wonderful day xx

  18. I cannot do heels of any height as I am very prone to falling off them and that is when very sober! I do wedges now if I need height, much safer for an old bird like me. I would love to book Mr F if his petticoat flashing side kick is thrown in! Can this be arranged at a discounted rate and sent to my home? Think of the fun we could have!!!! You have daughters I have sons, think of the mayhem or the little matches made in heaven!

    1. Wedges are ace, and I do have a serious crush on your footwear! although I used to fall off wedge mules constantly, but I am inherently clumsy (I walk into door frames etc) yes! book Mr F, we would have a flaming ball! matches and mayhem included! x x x ps you would never get rid of us though haha! x x x

  19. I used to wear heels everyday to my office job a few years ago. The higher the better. In fact, on the weekends my feet and calves would ache from walking around the house barefoot. Now, I'll do anything to avoid wearing heels (some outfits just won't look good without them you know?). I still buy them out of habit, but boy they give me the blues.

  21. I don't do heels, except when I'm in the office! Power dressing, I'm 5ft9 so a pair of 6inch+ heels make me taller than most the people in the office, so I can pretend I'm more important than I am!! xx
